Privacy Policy

The information required from the customers is essential for participation in SammTalk. If you do not provide this information, you, or your student(s) or child(ren), will not be able to use SammTalk.

What information does SammTalk save?
SammTalk tries to minimise stored personal information. As of today, SammTalk stores necessary information of registered teachers, parents, and students. This information may include names, email address, ages of students (average of class, not individual dates of birth), school location details and contact information, user names and passwords, average proficiency level of students in each class (selected by teacher, not attached to any one student), number of students in a class, and the exact time of a class.

We need to collect and process personal information marked as ‘required’ on our forms in order to provide the requested services, or because we are legally required to do so. If you do not provide the information that we request, we may not be able to provide the requested services.

If you submit any personal information relating to other people to us or to our service providers in connection with the services, you represent that you have the authority to do so and to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

What is my information used for?

Information is used to facilitate the partnering classes between schools and to place students into learning groups. It is of course voluntary to consent and consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting SammTalk at contact@sammtalk.com.

How We May Use Personal Information
We and our service providers may use personal information for our legitimate business interests, including the following:

  • To respond to your inquiries and fulfill your requests, such as to send you newsletters.

  • To send administrative information to you, such as information regarding the Services and changes to our terms, conditions and policies.

  • To personalize your experience on the Services by presenting products and offers tailored to you.

  • For our business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, fraud monitoring and prevention, developing new products, enhancing, improving or modifying our Services, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and operating and expanding our business activities.

  • As we believe to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce our terms and conditions; (e) to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates; (f) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you or others; and (g) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.

How does SammTalk store my information?
Your information is transferred from your device to our servers using HTTPS. Our database is set up for one-way communication, so no outsider can retrieve information. SammTalk has limited access to the database so that only our employees have access. SammTalk uses only subcontractors who are adhered to the same standard of privacy that we are being held to.

Who has access to my information?
SammTalk only allows limited access to its database, and only employees have access. SammTalk will in some cases share statistics of anonymous information with third parties.

Can I get access to my information?
Yes! You have always the right to request information on what information SammTalk is processing about you. In order to gain access to information we have stored in our database, you must send an inquiry request by e-mail to contact@sammtalk.com. SammTalk will respond as soon as possible and within 30 days of receiving the request.

How long do you save my information?
All information provided is deleted from our servers after the school year, that is, every July.

Can you delete my information?
Yes! You have the right to be forgotten. Just send us an email to contact@sammtalk.com. SammTalk will respond as soon as possible and within 30 days of receiving the request.
